Recovery
Recovery - Transforming Practice
Supporting the creation of a meaningful life throughout the world, recovery is the vision guiding mental health practice - the stories and the studies tell us that people can and do 'grow beyond the catastrophic effects of mental illness'. (William Anthony). Through presentations, conversations, practices and journaling, practitioners are urged to critically examine and modify their practice so that they can better support the recovery of the people that they serve.
Recovery - Transforming Service Programmes
Focusing on the foundation, bricks and mortar that support recovery, this programme includes presentations, conversations, exercises and applications that help participants examine the Recovery approach in relation to their services - their Vision, Values, Structure and Staffing. Areas of congruence are acknowledged and areas of growth identified. Action plans are developed and support is provided as participants take transformational steps.
The Practice of Self Care
Care for the Creator
Taking steps towards creating a meaningful life takes courage, conviction and clarity, as well as a growing commitment to taking great care of oneself. In the Care for the Creator programme, the concept of extreme self care is introduced. During coaching conversations, reflections and exercises, participants are encouraged to explore how awareness, intention, energy and support contribute to self care and are given the confidence to take significant steps towards their own self care.
Care for the Caregiver
Caregivers care deeply about others… but at times can give to the point of depletion. It is vital that caregivers extend the same compassion to themselves that they give to the person they are supporting. In the Care for the Caregivers programme, the concept of extreme self care is introduced. During coaching conversations, reflections and exercises, participants are encouraged to explore how awareness, intention, energy and support contribute to self care and are given the confidence to take significant steps towards their own self care.
Care for the Captain
Commanding a ship takes vision, drive, knowledge and skill. Sustaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the vessel over time is reliant on the wellbeing of the captain and crew. This programme encourages leaders to invest energy in their personal wellbeing and to consider how doing so influences the ultimate success of their team, services and/or organization. During coaching conversations, reflections and exercises, participants explore how awareness, intention, energy and support contribute to personal wellbeing and are given the confidence to take significant steps towards their own self care.
